Homemaker and Home Health Aides provide assistance to Veterans with daily activities and self-care, allowing them to remain in their own homes. They are supervised by registered nurses and can be used in combination with other Home andCommunity-Basedd Services. This program is for Veterans who need personal care services and may also serve those who are isolated or whose caregiver is experiencing burden. These services can be used as an alternative to nursing home care and provide Respite Care at home for Veterans and their family caregivers.
All enrolled Veterans are eligible for Homemaker Home Health Aide Care IF they are eligible for community care and meet the clinical criteria for the service and it is available. Services may vary by location.
